The rapid development of artificial intelligence technologies and their widespread use in daily life have made educational institutions need to provide students with the knowledge and skills regarding these technologies. However, artificial intelligence education should not only be limited to technical knowledge and skills but should also include ethical responsibilities. This article emphasizes the importance of artificial intelligence literacy in higher education and examines the ethical issues encountered in this field. Artificial intelligence in education requires students to learn how to use artificial intelligence tools effectively and ethically. Educators should guide students in understanding artificial intelligence technologies' potential risks and benefits. The article will address critical ethical issues that need to be considered within the scope of artificial intelligence literacy, topics such as the impact of artificial intelligence on decision-making processes, data privacy, bias, and justice.
A comprehensive literature review will be conducted using a qualitative approach, previous studies on artificial intelligence literacy and ethics will be examined, and the findings and recommendations of these studies will be evaluated in detail. A literature review will try to reveal current knowledge about the role of artificial intelligence in education and ethical problems in this field.
In conclusion, the article offers suggestions for improving artificial intelligence literacy in higher education and making ethical dimensions a part of education. These recommendations aim to increase educators' awareness of the ethical use of artificial intelligence, improve students' knowledge and skills in this field, and spread awareness of ethical responsibility.
