- What are the main topics of the Congress?
The Congress will be organized around the themes of crisis and sustainability. Your paper addressing crisis and sustainability from an interdisciplinary perspective within the social sciences is considered suitable. Related topics outside the specified themes may also be considered.
- Can I apply for Congress only through Indico? Do you accept applications via email?
Abstracts must be submitted through the website: https://eventedebiyat.istanbul.edu.tr/e/congist26 Submissions via email are not accepted.
- Can I attend the Congress online?
Congress participation is only possible in person.
- Will Congress’s application deadline be extended?
The current deadline is set for November 15, 2025. If granted an extension, announcements will be made on the official website.
- Is there a fee to attend the Congress? If so, how much is it?
Yes, the Congress has a fee. Please find detailed information on the website.
- I am a student, will there be a discount for students?
Only graduate students are accepted to the Congress. The early registration fee for postgraduate students is 35 Euros for participants from Türkiye and 60 Euros for international participants. The student certificate must also be uploaded to the system.
- Will the proceedings be published after the Congress?
Yes. Abstracts will be published in a book of abstracts with an ISBN. IU-Press may publish selected full papers in peer-reviewed volumes or international journals.
- Where will the Congress be held?
The Congress will be held at the Faculty of Letters, Istanbul University, Istanbul, Turkey. The exact location can be found here.
- What is included in the Congress fee?
Participation and presentation rights are included in the fee. However, the dinner planned for May 13, 2026, is not included and costs 60 Euros.
- Can I participate in Congress with more than one paper?
Each participant may present up to two papers. Postgraduate students may submit only one paper.
- What is the maximum number of presenters allowed for one paper?
The number of people who can present a paper is unlimited. However, applications are charged per person.
- What is the language of the Congress?
Papers prepared in either Turkish or English will be accepted for the Congress.
- After completing my Congress registration, how does the process proceed?
Once registration closes, the Organizing Committee will schedule sessions and publish the program. Please check the website later for the program.
- Can you provide information about the technical equipment for the congress rooms?
The congress rooms are equipped with microphones, projectors, and laptops. You can use these computers for your presentation.
- How long should the presentation be?
Each paper will have 15 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for questions and answers. Please plan accordingly.
- I would like to attend the congress as a listener. Is there anything I need to do in this case?
Those who wish to participate in the congress as listeners must also register. Participation as a listener is free of charge, and the registration dates will be announced later.

- Kongrenin konu başlıkları nelerdir?
Kongre, kriz ve sürdürülebilirlik temaları çerçevesinde düzenlenecektir. Eğer bildirinizin konusu sosyal bilimler bağlamında kriz ve sürdürülebilirlik temalarını disiplinlerarası bir bakışla ele alıyorsa uygundur. Belirtilen temalar dışında benzer konular da değerlendirilebilir.
- Kongreye yalnızca Indico aracılığıyla mı başvuru yapabilirim? E-posta üzerinden başvuru kabul ediyor musunuz?
Bildiri özetleri sadece https://eventedebiyat.istanbul.edu.tr/e/congist26 adresinden gönderilmelidir. E-posta ile başvuru kabul edilmemektedir.
- Kongreye çevrimiçi katılım sağlayabilir miyim?
Kongreye yalnızca yüz yüze katılım sağlanabilir.
- Kongrenin son başvuru tarihi uzatılacak mı?
Şu anda belirlenen son tarih 15 Kasım 2025’tir. Uzatma olması halinde duyurular resmi internet sitesinden yapılacaktır.
- Kongre ücretli mi? Ücretliyse ne kadar?
Evet, kongre ücretlidir. Detaylı bilgi için internet sitemizi ziyaret edebilirsiniz.
- Öğrenciyim, Kongrede buna göre bir indirim sağlanacak mı?
Kongreye yalnızca lisansüstü öğrenciler kabul edilmektedir. Lisansüstü öğrenciler için erken ödeme ücreti Türkiye’den 35 Euro, yurtdışından 60 Euro’dur. Ayrıca öğrenci belgesinin sisteme yüklenmesi gerekmektedir.
- Kongre sonrasında bildirim yayınlanacak mı?
Evet. Bildiri özetleri ISBN’li özet kitabında yayımlanacaktır. Seçilen tam metinler ise IU-Press’in hakemli kitap serisinde veya uluslararası dergilerde yayımlanabilir.
- Kongre nerede düzenlenecek?
Kongre, İstanbul Üniversitesi Edebiyat Fakültesi’nde (İstanbul, Türkiye) düzenlenecektir. Tam konuma bu link üzerinden erişebilirsiniz.
- Kongre ücretine neler dahil?
Katılım ve sunum hakkı dahildir. Ancak 13 Mayıs 2026 tarihinde düzenlenmesi planlanan akşam yemeği ücrete dahil değildir (60 Euro).
- Kongreye birden fazla bildiri ile katılabilir miyim?
Her katılımcı en fazla iki bildiri sunabilir. Lisansüstü öğrenciler yalnızca bir bildiri sunabilir.
- Bir bildiriyi en fazla kaç kişi sunabilir?
Bildiri sunumunda herhangi bir kişi sayısı sınırlandırması bulunmamaktadır. Ancak başvurular kişi başı ücretlendirilmektedir.
- Kongre hangi dilde düzenlenecek?
Kongreye Türkçe veya İngilizce bildiriler kabul edilmektedir.
- Kongre kaydımı tamamladıktan sonra süreç nasıl işleyecek?
Kongre kayıt tarihlerinin ardından, Kongre Düzenleme Kurulu tarafından oturumlar belirlenerek program düzenlenecektir. Kongre programı için internet sitesini takip edebilirsiniz.
- Kongre salonlarının teknik altyapısı hakkında bilgi verebilir misiniz?
Kongre salonlarında mikrofon, projeksiyon cihazı ve dizüstü bilgisayar bulunmaktadır. Sunum yapmak istediğinizde burada bulunan bilgisayarları kullanabilirsiniz.
- Sunum süresi kaç dakika olmalı?
Her bir bildiri kapsamında sunum için 15, soru-cevap için 5 dakikalık süre ayrılacaktır. Planlamanızı buna göre yapabilirsiniz.
- Kongreye yalnızca dinleyici olarak katılmak istiyorum. Bu durumda yapmam gereken bir şey var mı?
Kongreye yalnızca dinleyici olarak katılım sağlamak isteyenler de kayıt yaptırmak zorundadır. Dinleyici katılımı ücretsiz olup kayıt tarihleri daha sonra duyurulacaktır.
