Travel Bursary for Early Career Scholars from Underrepresented Groups
Scientiae will offer four travel bursaries to early career scholars from groups that are currently underrepresented in the Scientiae community, including but not limited to Black, Indigenous, and people of colour, to present papers at the Scientiae annual conference. The award will be €200 each.
The Local Committee is pleased to offer a limited number of grants for the Scientiae 2025 Annual Meeting, which will be held at Istanbul University between September 16-19, 2025.
Accommodation Grants Announcement
These grants, funded by the Institut Français d'Études Anatoliennes (IFEA) and the Swedish Research Institute in Istanbul (SRII), will provide free accommodation to selected participants.
Grant Details:
• Accommodation will be provided for the duration of the conference, from September 15 to 20, 2025.
• Rooms will be double occupancy, and participants will share them with other grant recipients.
Eligibility Criteria:
• Accomodation grants support graduate students, early career researchers (those who have completed their PhD within the past five years), and scholars in non-tenure track and adjunct positions who lack institutional funding for the conference.
• Priority will be given to presenters whose abstracts align with the conference's core themes.
Turkish Society for History of Science (TBTK) Conference Grant
This grant, funded by the Turkish Society for History of Science (TBTK), is designed to support Turkish researchers attending the conference. TBTK will offer $100 each to five graduate students or early career scholars.
Eligibility Criteria:
• This grant supports graduate students, early career researchers (those who have completed their PhD within the past five years), and scholars in non-tenure track and adjunct positions who lack institutional funding for the conference.
• Priority will be given to presenters whose abstracts align with the conference's core themes.
